Counting the pounds
Research statisticians, Sheldon Jacobson and Laura McLay have found thesince 1960, on average the U.S. citizen has increased in weight by 24pounds! That does translate in to a higher cost per mile driven due toincreased weight. In other words, our weight is just part of theincrease in fuel consumption over the last 40+ years in the U.S..
Did we need another reason to try not to gain any pounds over theholidays? Gotcha.
