Kits and chips: getting ready for winter

We do have a few more “official” days of summer, until the beginning of Autumn. Yes, it looks like a few more hot days as we finish off the summer season. It’s time to take a look at the paint on your BMW and decide to “touch-up” those chips and dings or take it to a high quality detailer.

Chipped paint not only diminishes the look of your beautiful BMW or MINI, but allows exposure to damaging elements that may eventually lead to rust. If you drive along the coast or visit Tahoe in the winter, it’s never not too early think about this. But, in any case, you do want to take care of those chips before the weather changes. The BMW paint, (name) is usually found under the hood. It’s a good idea to have some of the BMW touch up paint kits or paint pens around, just in case you need them. Depending upon your year, model and paint colour of your BMW or MINI, you may need both the paint and the clear “paint”.

Enjoy the road!
