After all that we do in our State to reduce the pollutants in the air, last week it was announced that some parts of California have the poorest air quality in the nation. Wow. Isn’t that discouraging?

It’s time for us to remind you that if you are purchasing any cool on-line parts for your BMW, MINI, or any other car to be used in California, remember that they must be compliant with California emissions regulations.

Some people are under the impression that even with an older car that may not have to be smogged, they can just put anything on it they want. But, actually, when it comes to the emissions systems, don’t get too carried away with that credit card, until you check with the DMV and Bureau of Automotive Repair for specific guidelines. And do not count on a reputable shop to install any non-complaint emissions parts for you. If those emission parts are not CA compliant….well we are not going down that road.

Sorry, but we didn’t make the rules. We just have to follow them.
