In a prior posting, we suggested that it is best to use Top Tier gas in your BMW, and directed you to the website to review the data, as well as checking your BMW owners manual for recommendations.

Some of the items that can be impacted by not using a Top Tier gasoline, is your fuel pump and/or your fuel filter. Contaminants clogging the inlet screen, (or the fuel filter) can result in premature failure of your fuel pump. You might have low pressure output, but higher than normal amperage, that would indicate that your pump is having to work “harder”. Over time, this is not a good thing for your fuel pump. You are wearing it out prematurely, at the same time you are trying to save money at the gas pump!

Thankfully for all of us, the gasoline prices have come down. We did not raise prices during the past year, at a time when we were really get hit with all of the fuel surcharges and increased costs related to the price of oil. So, just like you, we are very happy to see those prices come down.

Happy Motoring!
