Put your best windshield forward
It is such a thrill to see the evolution of the various BMW years and models of what we believe are some of greatest cars ever. Just during the past week, we had the opportunity to help people with their 1972 2002tii’s and also a 2007 335i. That is a span of 35 years! How cool is that?
For those of us that grew up with BMW, just looking at one of those tii’s, brings back those rare moments of nostalgia. Ahh, just remembering the steaming windshields, at a time when the defrosters were, well, let’s say not the best operating component on the car! (We digress…)
If your windshield is in need of repair, or replacement, you may want to consider getting this handled prior to driving in the cold, freezing weather. (Such as you might experience in the Lake Tahoe area). Over the summer you may have developed some pits or tiny cracks that could get worse.
If going to the mountains, (or Tahoe) is on your list for the winter, you could be putting your windshield through conditions such as 70 sunny degrees, in an afternoon in San Jose, and then experience snow, ice and 26 degrees in Incline Village by the time you arrive. The extremes could cause those mini cracks to get larger! So, try to get those repaired before they get too big.
No matter how new or old, enjoy your BMW and all of the great places it can take you!
